Two models, four characters

Robotics company Realbotix introduced Echo on Oct. 26, a line of humanoid robots designed for companionship, education and wellness. The line has two models, and the robots are sold only through the company’s website.

  • Echo Tabletop: A bust that sits on a table. It costs $11,950, has 17 degrees of freedom, weighs about 25 lb (11 kg) and stands 32 inches (81 cm) tall. The company pitches it for one-on-one education, therapy and personal wellness.
  • Echo Full Body: The full-size model. It costs $59,950, has 39 degrees of freedom and weighs about 88 lb (40 kg). The female models are 72 inches (183 cm) tall and the male models 77 inches (196 cm).

On both models, the face and neck are covered in the company’s own silicone-based synthetic skin; on the Full Body, the forearms and hands are covered too. The robots have speakers built into the chest and facial expressions. According to the company, the robot speaks more than 100 languages and replies in whichever language it is addressed in. The line comes as four characters with distinct personalities, voices and interaction styles: Aria, Mila, Dave and Amar. The robots integrate natively with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

The press release doesn’t say the robot can walk or do household chores; in the company’s videos, the full-body model stands on a platform.

In the company’s launch video, Mila introduces herself and says she speaks more than 100 languages and can see the person in front of her once Vinci is added.

Vision and privacy

The optional Vinci Vision System is an on-device computer vision and AI add-on. According to the company, it has sub-second latency and offers facial recognition, emotional cue recognition, gaze tracking and spatial and temporal awareness, all processed on the device.

The press release says conversation histories, memories and facial recognition data are stored locally on the robot or a paired device and aren’t accessible to Realbotix. It also says cloud-based features may send necessary content to third-party providers, a caveat Interesting Engineering highlighted as well. In 2027, the company plans a “Digital AI Twin” that will carry the robot’s personality, voice and encrypted memories across devices.

Price, subscription and delivery

The first run is limited to 250 robots: 225 Tabletop and 25 Full Body units. Deliveries are expected in the second half of 2027. A $199 deposit secures a spot in the first run; the press release points to the company’s website for deposit terms and doesn’t say whether the deposit is refundable. Organizations ordering 10 or more units can request volume pricing.

Running an Echo robot requires a monthly subscription to the company’s Robot Configuration App, with tiers starting at $19.99 a month. Posts on social media put the subscription at $199.99 a month; the press release gives a starting price of $19.99. Humanoid.guide notes that because of the subscription, the hardware price is only part of the cost of ownership.

Echo is priced well below the company’s earlier robots. A Sept. 5, 2026, archived copy of Realbotix’s website listed busts from $20,000, the M-Series from $95,000 and the full-body F-Series from $125,000; Echo Full Body costs less than half of that. At CES 2025, the company’s Aria robot was priced at $10,000 for the bust, $150,000 for a modular version and $175,000 for a standing version. For comparison, 1X opened preorders for NEO, its household robot, in October 2025 at $20,000 upfront or $499 a month. Unlike NEO, Echo is positioned as a conversation and companionship robot.

The company’s background

Realbotix’s publicly traded parent was formerly Tokens.com, a Toronto-based crypto and metaverse company. In April 2024, it bought Las Vegas-based Simulacra Corporation in an all-stock deal worth about $16.7 million and rebranded as Realbotix in May 2024; it trades on the TSX-V as XBOT. According to The Logic, Simulacra’s holdings included Realbotix LLC as well as Abyss Creations, the maker of RealDoll. The company says those subsidiaries are managed separately and that Realbotix LLC doesn’t design or sell RealDoll products (per a July 2026 correction by Gizmodo).

At CES 2026, Realbotix said two of its robots held an unscripted conversation in four languages for more than two hours; Interesting Engineering reported pauses and inconsistencies in the demo. Nasdaq-listed Onconetix agreed in February 2026 to buy Realbotix LLC in an all-stock deal; according to an Oct. 27 SEC filing, the deal is still pending, and the filing also mentions the Echo launch.

Independent assessments

Interesting Engineering writes that Echo is not a mass-market humanoid release and that how reliably the hardware performs outside demonstrations will determine whether the price is justified; it also stresses that the number of joints doesn’t mean humanlike freedom of movement. Humanoid.guide notes that the use cases in the press release are intended applications rather than reported deployment results.
