Alibaba cut prices on its Qwen audio models by up to 95%
The company released five Qwen Audio 3.1 models covering recognition, synthesis, realtime interaction and audio creation. The cuts vary by service: text-to-speech about 70%, realtime about 85% and speech recognition by up to 95%. The recognition model supports 30 languages and 16 Chinese dialects, with a first-character response of about 160 milliseconds. The update adds speaker identification, emotion detection and style control through text instructions.
