Microsoft calls about 50 Copilot Studio employees in Israel to pre-dismissal hearings
Microsoft’s Israel R&D center has summoned about 50 employees in its Copilot Studio group to pre-dismissal hearings, Calcalist reported on October 12. Around half are expected to stay at the center in other roles, according to estimates cited in the report, so the final number of layoffs may be lower. Copilot Studio is Microsoft’s platform for building AI agents and automating business processes. Globes reported that the move is part of a global restructuring. Microsoft did not give a number, saying the process includes changes to team structures and, in some cases, difficult decisions that directly affect employees. The company employs about 3,000 R&D staff in Israel. In July, Microsoft cut about 4,800 jobs worldwide.
