Meta is running a global AI hackathon with a $1 million prize pool
The Global AI Developer Hackathon, announced by Meta Superintelligence Labs at Connect 2026, will run for ten days, fully online, open worldwide and free to enter. Participants will build on the Meta Model API, Muse Code or Meta’s open-weight models, and everyone gets $150 in API credits. There are two tracks, one for indie developers and one for startup teams, with a total prize pool of $1 million. Dates have not been announced; for now the official page only takes sign-ups for a notification when applications open.
