HackerRank’s AI interviewer opens to all customers after more than 500,000 job interviews
HackerRank made Chakra, its AI interviewer, generally available to its customers on October 5. During a roughly six-month beta, the system ran more than 500,000 interviews, with Snowflake, Snorkel and Capgemini among the companies testing it. Candidates work inside a real code repository while a voice interviewer asks them to explain their approach or handle a new constraint. AI tools are allowed, and Chakra scores how well candidates steer them. CEO Vivek Ravisankar says suspicious-activity flags were 70 to 80 percent lower than on traditional tests. Chakra only scores candidates; humans still make the hiring call.
