Google is testing Flipkart shopping directly inside Gemini in India
Some users in the test see a Buy button next to selected Flipkart products in Gemini and Google’s AI Mode, which opens a Flipkart-branded checkout without leaving the AI interface. For now the test covers a limited number of users and a small set of products such as smartphones, electronics and mobile accessories. Google plans a wider rollout in October, ahead of India’s festive shopping season. Google also holds a stake in Walmart-owned Flipkart. The move is part of Google’s push into agentic commerce, taking AI from finding products to completing the purchase.
