An EU draft would close unsupervised access to social media, AI chatbots and games for under-15s
Under the European Commission’s EU Kids Act, 13- and 14-year-olds would need an account opened by a parent, with tighter limits for younger children. Reuters reported there would be EU-wide age verification and an oversight body funded by the companies. Bloomberg says fines could reach 6% of turnover.
