AI-generated Charles Robinson nears 1 million Instagram followers
Charles Robinson isn’t real, but he’s closing in on 1 million followers
Charles Robinson, the face of the Instagram account @charles.robinson62, is entirely AI-generated. In his videos, barefoot and scruffy, he steps out of Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces in front of luxury hotels. The account took off in the first week of October and had 948,000 followers as of October 11. Instagram labels it an “AI-generated profile.”
The videos are made with Higgsfield
Most of the account’s posts end with “Made with @higgsfield.ai,” and its bio lists it as a Higgsfield “Creative Partner.” Higgsfield’s AI Influencer tool designs a character that keeps the same face, look and outfit across angles, and the company says those characters are animated with Genjutsu, which transfers the motion from a real video onto the new character. The exact tools used for Charles haven’t been disclosed.
Genjutsu moves the motion from a real video onto another character
Higgsfield launched Genjutsu on September 1. It takes a 4 to 30-second reference video and “keeps the motion, camera and timing while rebuilding the scene from your references.” The company relaunched its AI Influencer tool on October 2 and says those characters’ videos are made with Genjutsu.
His videos have tens of millions of views, but the account isn’t independent
The account’s top video has 99.6 million views, and five more have passed 12 million. The growth doubles as a showcase: the account is a Higgsfield partner, and its link page includes a Higgsfield referral link and a memecoin called $CHARLES on Pump.fun. Who runs it is unknown.
