Baselayer raised $35 million for a product that verifies whose behalf an agent acts on
Alongside a Series A led by M13, the company launched an identity suite that verifies AI agents, the people or organizations they represent and their authority to transact. It is called Know Your Agent: it establishes who deployed an agent, who it represents and whether it has permission to carry out particular tasks. The problem behind it: agents are already opening accounts, moving money and buying things on someone else’s behalf, while finance still has no clean way to ask who they are actually working for.
