On October 24 in Jinan, the capital of China’s Shandong province, 110 Expedition A3 humanoid robots from Chinese robotics company AgiBot earned a Guinness World Records title for the most humanoid robots dancing simultaneously, Global Times reported on October 25. The robots performed a synchronized routine of repositioning, jumps, flips and formation changes.

AgiBot described the attempt as a test of how well large numbers of robots can coordinate while holding precise positions. The robots were run by the company’s LinkBots cluster control platform and located with ultra-wideband (UWB) positioning, which AgiBot says delivers centimeter-level accuracy. The reports give no duration for the routine, and no Guinness entry for the record could be found.

The title is specific to humanoids. In 2018, Guinness recognized 1,372 robots as the overall record for most robots dancing simultaneously, an attempt organized in Rome by Italy’s TIM with UBTECH’s small Alpha 1S robots. AgiBot’s A2 robot already holds the record for the longest journey walked by a humanoid robot, 106.286 km, set in November 2025. Wang Peng of the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences told Global Times that large-scale coordination could lower per-robot operating costs, while adapting to changing lighting, ground surfaces and obstacles remains a challenge.
