Chinese AI infrastructure company Infinigence AI raises about $344 million and prepares for a Hong Kong IPO
Shanghai-based Infinigence AI said on October 12 that it has closed a 2.3 billion yuan (about $344 million) Series C round, lifting total funding above 4.3 billion yuan (about $644 million). Founded in 2023 by a team led by Tsinghua professor Wang Yu, it builds software that lets AI models run efficiently on different chips, and says it can pool 16 Chinese and foreign chip types. Bloomberg reported on October 1, citing people familiar with the matter, that Infinigence has confidentially filed for a Hong Kong IPO and could list as early as the first half of 2027. Its pre-IPO valuation is reported at 14.3 billion yuan (about $2.1 billion). Backers include Tencent and Baidu.
