Larry Ellison canceled a $7.5 billion share sale in one day, without selling a single share

The plan was set up on June 22, covered 50 million Oracle shares and ran until October 24. Its existence surfaced in a regulatory filing on September 11, and Ellison canceled it the next day. Oracle’s statement was two sentences long and gave no reason. Not one share was sold under the plan.
