Google’s Call For Me: Gemini calls businesses for users and waits on hold
The experimental feature has Gemini call local businesses on the user’s behalf: it introduces itself, navigates phone menus, waits on hold and handles the conversation. The user follows along on a live transcript and can take over at any moment. The call dials from the user’s own number. It is going first to Pixel 11 owners in the US with a Gemini subscription, and needs the beta version of the Android phone app.
