Oracle’s $18 billion data center loan fell to 89-91 cents on the dollar
According to the Financial Times, the loan raised for Project Jupiter in New Mexico is trading at a discount on the secondary market. The project is at least seven months behind: permitting, power infrastructure and local opposition have all slowed it, and the state land office refused a natural gas pipeline to the site. The 1,400-acre campus is part of Oracle’s agreement with OpenAI and of Stargate. Efforts to sell the debt to a wider pool of investors have stalled over Oracle’s rising borrowing and weakening creditworthiness.
