Musk says SpaceXAI will be renamed SpaceXSI, following Trump’s “Super Intelligence” order
On October 4, asked on X whether SpaceXAI would become SpaceXSI, Musk replied: “Yes, we will make that change,” and wrote: “No more AI. SI, it’s better.” On September 29, Trump signed an executive order titled “Inaugurating the Era of Super Intelligence,” directing federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence (SI)” instead of “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” in official documents. The order binds only federal agencies; Musk’s move is voluntary. The SpaceXAI name was adopted on July 6, after SpaceX acquired xAI in February, so it lasted about 90 days. Musk did not say when the new name takes effect.
