Mecka, founded in 2024, announced on October 7 a $60 million Series B led by Sequoia Capital, with Nvidia, Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung and Microsoft’s venture fund M12 joining the round. TechCrunch reported the startup is now valued at around $500 million. Mecka pays people to record everyday tasks, such as making coffee or fixing cars, while wearing body sensors and using smartphones, then supplies that motion data to companies training humanoid and other robots. The company says its annualized revenue run rate passed $100 million in June and it expects to reach $300 million by year end.
