Akamai signed a seven-year, $11.6 billion deal with Anthropic
The contract covers Anthropic’s CPU workloads on Akamai Cloud’s distributed infrastructure and can grow by a further $9 billion, taking the total to around $20 billion. Akamai also issued Anthropic a warrant for up to 5% of its outstanding common stock, with about 2% expected to vest under the initial $11.6 billion commitment. Akamai shares rose more than 15% in extended trading after the news.
